Tabula Rasa in Locke

The tabula rasa is the latin expression for blank tablet.

Tabula rasa have been used by John Locke in the Human Understanding to describe the state of the human mind at birth.

His contention was that innate a priori knowledge is a fiction and that only exprerience can furnish the mind with ideas.
